Our Short version

After 8 years of serving authentic South Indian cuisine at Davie Dosa Company in Vancouver’s West End, founder Sharv Ramachandran has taken over Hakka Momo Corner. We’ve kept the beloved Indo-Chinese street food menu of momos, hakka noodles, and fried rice while adding our signature South Indian favorites — idly, dosa, vada, biryani, poori masal, and chole bhature. A unique fusion of two rich culinary traditions, prepared fresh daily and served with love.

Our Story

Where South India Meets the East — and the West Coast.

Welcome to Hakka Momo Corner, where every dish is a story of flavor, culture, and connection. We bring together the soulful traditions of South Indian and Indo-Chinese cuisine, crafted with love, local ingredients, and a shared passion for food that brings people together.

A Culinary Story of Passion, Culture & Collaboration: Led by Sharv Ramachandran, our mission is to bring the comforting, vibrant flavors of South Indian and Indo-Chinese cuisine to the heart of Richmond, BC.

Sharv’s journey began in South India 30 years ago in the food industry, learning that food is an expression of community and tradition. After moving to Canada, he spent years mastering hospitality at Vancouver Community College and leading venues such as the Vancouver Convention Centre for 14 years. He later started his dream project, Davie Dosa Company, the first South Indian restaurant in Downtown Vancouver, where he gained the support and respect of loyal customers worldwide.

A Shared Vision: Working alongside Sharv is Hannah (Xuan Hanh Bach) — a talented chef whose culinary journey began in Vietnam and found new inspiration at Davie Dosa Company. Hannah brings her artistry to the kitchen, combining her roots and experience with the bold spirit of Indo-Chinese cuisine, sourcing fresh local ingredients and crafting dishes that unite Asian techniques with Indian authenticity.

Our Philosophy: Together, Sharv and Hannah have built a restaurant that celebrates cultural diversity and culinary creativity. From the sizzle of South Indian dosas to the spice of Hakka-style momos, every dish tells a story of tradition meeting innovation. At Hakka Momo Corner, we believe great food connects people — across cultures, tables, and generations. Our promise is to serve each guest with authenticity, warmth, and a taste of home.
